eBay title best practices

eBay titles work when they read like a search query: product type, brand, size, quantity and condition, without promotional spam or leftover Amazon order.

eBay is query-shaped

Buyers type brand + type + size. Put those tokens in the title. Subtitles and item specifics exist for extra facts. CrossKit Title Optimizer can draft; eBay still has its own character cap and prohibited-words list.

Do not paste Amazon titles blindly

Amazon often leads with brand and marketing phrases. eBay searchers may start with the generic type. Reorder. Cut “premium unique”. Keep condition words accurate (New, Open box) because they are not decoration.

Item specifics carry the rest

Brand, MPN, size and color often belong in structured fields as well as the title. Empty specifics hurt filter search even when the title is dense.

Policy

No keyword stuffing of brands you do not sell. No all-caps. CrossKit is not an eBay partner and does not list items for you.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should an eBay title be?

Use the current eBay cap. Prefer a complete query over a stuffed line that truncates badly.

Should I add “fast shipping” in the title?

Put shipping in shipping fields. Title space is for what the item is.

Can Title Optimizer publish to eBay?

No. It drafts in the browser. You paste into eBay.
